Modelling the Origin of Astrophysical Jets from Galactic and Extra-galactic Sources A New Approach to Combine the Accretion-Wind Topologies
نویسنده
چکیده
Though widely observed to be emanatig out from a variety of galactic and extra-galactic sources, the underlying physical mechanism behind the formation of the cosmic jets and outflows are wrapped around by the veil of mistry till date. Neither the amount of matter contained in these jets could accurately be calculated by any definitive method as well. In this paper we present a theoretical model, which, for the first time we believe, is able to explain the jet formation phenomenon as well as can compute the mass outflow rate by self-consistently combining the exact transonic accretion-outflow topologies. Our model could also analyse the dependence of this rate on various physical parameters governing the inflow.

A Simultaneous Solution Scheme for Coupled Transonic Accretion-wind Systems
Though widely observed to be emanating from a variety of astrophysical sources, the underlying physical mechanism behind the formation of galactic and extragalactic jets is still enshrouded in a veil of mystery. In addition, it has not been possible to calculate accurately the amount of barionic matter expelled in these events. Though progress in modelling the exact mechanism of jet formation h...
متن کاملMagnetohydrodynamic Origin of Jets from Accretion Disks
A review is made of recent magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) theory and simulations of origin of jets from accretion disks. Many compact astrophysical objects emit powerful, highly-collimated, oppositely directed jets. Included are the extra galactic radio jets of active galaxies and quasars, and old compact stars in binaries, and emission line jets in young stellar objects. It is widely thought that t...
متن کاملConnection between Accretion Disk and Superluminal Radio Jets and the Role of Radio Plateau State in Grs 1915+105
We investigate the association between the accretion disk during radio plateau state and the following superluminal relativistic radio jets with peak intensity varies from 200 mJy to 1000 mJy observed over a period of five years and present the evidences of direct accretion disc-jet connection in microquasar GRS 1915+105 . We have analysed RXTE PCA/HEXTE X-ray data and have found that the accre...

A more detailed analysis is made of the energy spectrum of the diffuse component of extragalactic gamma rays over the range of 0.3- 10 GeV, obtained fromthe EGRET instrument at the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory. The derived excess energy spectrum of high galactic latitude, b > 60°, using intercept method shows that it is correlated with Virgo cluster (over lsr) and average Virgo intensity i...
متن کاملOn the Origin of Radio Core Emission in Radio-quiet Quasars
We present a model for the radio emission from radio-quiet quasar nuclei. We show that a thermal origin for the high brightness temperature, flat spectrum point sources (known as radio “cores”) is possible provided the emitting region is hot and optically-thin. We hence demonstrate that opticallythin bremsstrahlung from a slow, dense disk wind can make a significant contribution to the observed...
